[He savors the tea-dipped cookie while she thinks, content to let her take her time. There's a raising of his eyebrows at her admittance, and he brings up his handkerchief to dab at his mouth.]

I'm surprised. I'd figure someone like you would already have a Submissive. [Or like, five, honestly.

He's quiet and thoughtful for a few moments, before he asks:]

How would you feel about forming a contract with me?

Well, the last couple I had disappeared days after we contracted, so it's been a little discouraging...

[She hasn't had luck meeting submissives that were interested in contracting with her, and the ones that had were gone so fast she had to wonder if she was suffering from some kind of curse. That, and with everything going on, it was easy to keep pushing it off. Maybe she'd try again tomorrow, or the next day. When Riddle makes his suggestion, her face lights up in delighted surprise.]

Me? Really? Oh my gosh! Are you sure? I mean, I'd really love that!

Ah... understandable.

[When she lights up, he can't help but smile in return. Her cheer is so contagious.

With a soft chuckle, he says:]

Well, so long as we can agree on and be happy with a contract, then yes. At the very least, we can give it a trial run and see if it works out for us both.

When do you need to be contracted by?

[Once she's put her teacup back on the table Ginger's clapping her hands together with a happy squeal, barely able to sit still.]

Um, early next month sometime, I think? I dunno, they'll send me a reminder!

[You know, when she's about to go to jail.]

This is so exciting! I'm still living in public housing but I was going to look for a house to move into sometime soon, so you'll have plenty of room--I mean, if you want to stay with me, that is. I'm not good at cooking but other than that I'll take care of everything! I don't really mind whatever you'd like in a contract.

[As always, she doesn't seem at all embarrassed to talk about sex. Ahhh, she just wants to give him a big hug! Maybe when there isn't a table between them.]

Whatever you're comfortable with! I can fill quota on my own, or I can help you out too if you'd like. I'm pretty much into everything.

[Riddle nods quietly and thoughtfully, a hand coming up to his chin.]

Well, we've touched upon what I believe would be the largest issues. [Since he can't imagine Ginger being someone that would disallow him from working or anything.] So it sounds like it should work out.

In that case, we should schedule a day to sit down together and go over the contract together. Perhaps with someone who's experienced with law here, or at the least, someone familiar with ironing out the details of the contract.

[Jamil is his first thought, but he doesn't want to ask so much of him. He's already been far too generous.]

[She's always just kind of let her contract partners put whatever they want down and then signed. They've always been so smart!]

Sure! I think there are a few law offices here run by LIERs. Or if you know somebody who might be really good at this kind of thing...

Actually, there's this really sweet young man around your age I met named Jade! He's so good with paperwork and he's been here for a while now, I bet he'd be happy to help us!

The contract's just as much for your benefit as it is mine. I'd hate to add or leave out anything that might cause issues for us later down the line.

[But, you know, Riddle's also anal retentive and could probably spare being a little more relaxed about things.

The name immediately has him blinking.]

Jade Leech? With the one yellow, one golden eye?

[Ah... Hm. He... supposes that should be fine, if Jade's willing to do it. He doesn't imagine any particularly sensitive information would go in the contract, and it's nothing Riddle wouldn't be giving the final say so over anyway.

"Really sweet young man", though... Boy, he'd better not be doing anything underhanded with Ginger.

He looks deeply thoughtful for a couple of seconds, before he gives a nod.]

I think that's a good suggestion, actually. I'm curious on what his input would be.
